In this page you will find a collection of technology integration ideas.  Feel free to use them and comment on class results.  Also, feel free to share your own technology integration ideas.

All About Me - Students can create a personal video library of five clips or images that highlight their interests and personality.  (Jing, Captivate, VoiceThread).

Current Events - Students research supplemental information about news events in today’s news and present a mini-report to the class.  (PowerPoint, Keynote, Jing, VoiceThread)

Graphic Organizers - Integrate with Inspiration graphic-organizer software to help students make meaningful connections.  (Bubbl.us)

Multimedia Presentations - Embed clips in PowerPoint presentations to make your lessons come alive.

Show What You Know - Students use video clips as part of a multimedia presentation that illustrates their mastery of a concept learned in class.  (Jing, Captivate, PowerPoint, Keynote)

Learning Stations - Create self-directed “learning cards” so students can complete specific lessons on their own.  (Technology Centers)

Multimedia Newspaper - Assign groups of students a different topic/lesson each week. Have them report their stories by creating multimedia presentations with publishing software and video clips.

Daily Classroom News Broadcasts - (Depending on grade level)  Create your own mini TV studio.  Have students broadcast and report daily classroom news.

The Great Debate -Give student teams a topic and challenge them to defend their arguments by creating videos based on their research as evidence.

Culture Club - Have student groups research an area of the world and create a powerpoint presentation, Jing Project, VoiceThread project (or any other software available) that highlight the people, economy, and traditions.

Get Moving - Reinforce the importance of nutrition and fitness by allowing the students to create their own physical education project.

Science Projects - Have students video tape the creation and processes of their experiments and put together a digital science fair viewing.

Drawing - Have students use simple drawing programs like Windows Paint or Kid Pix to draw projects related to the unit that they are studying (plants, math concepts, maps of towns, etc.).

Let's Have some fun with Puzzles - Have students create vocabulary word games and then have them exchange with a friend to practice the vocabulary.   (Puzzlemaker.com)

Writing Fun - Using an ActivBoard (Mimio, Interactive Board) model the critiquing and editing process on student or teacher writing.

Art Fun - Have students create a multimedia presentation of their own art work.

More Art Fun - After students have created an object (sculpture, clay modeling, etc) have them create a multimedia presentation of it (Claymation - if familiar with it).
