Professional Philosophy and Goals

My professional objective for enrolling in the Masters of Education program – Educational Technology is to help me with my current job position as an Instructional Technology Specialist.  I want to be able to help the K-12 teachers to better integrate and use technology in the classroom.  Also, I hope to gain enough knowledge in this program to be able to open up doors for future job positions within the area of technology (administrative level, college level).

My future goals are to attend and obtain more professional development to better understand the needs of K-12 teachers within the school districts.  By attending new and current professional development I will be able to keep up to date with all the new technologies used for technology in the classroom.  Furthermore, in order to achieve some of my objectives I would need to gather more input from teachers as to their needs and those of their students where technology is concerned.
